Maple Dunes

Interior
Art

The team at Samis Education Center needed to add new artwork in two conference rooms. The goal was to hang a substantial piece of art on the largest wall across from the entrance of each room. We needed something to give these two walls some character and energy without being too loud or distracting. These walls just happen to be a slightly concave surface. This started as a challenge and quickly turned into an opportunity.

It was a must to create something that would thrive on a curved wall. Using the flow of the facility’s architecture and branding as a baseline, we were able to produce a dynamic topographical face with a structured wooden backbone. These contrasting characteristics give the installation a unique perspective from any angle in the room.
